This is Anita Rani a 55-year-old principal of the SDMC Primary school at Tihar Village. Soon after the lockdown was implemented Rani received instructions from head officers that the school will be converted into a shelter. Thus began Rani’s journey from school principal to shelter home manager. She faced many challenges from working around the clock to having people maintain social distancing even in close quarters and making sure everyone was fed and in good health. Rani is still running the shelter and is helping numerous people stay safe and healthy.
